Brother John Martin

Brother John Martin began his ministry with a burden for missions. He wanted to help the poor that were much less fortunate than himself, come to the saving grace of our Loving Savior. The more he did for missions, the more his burden increased. He felt a pull to the ministry, but fought it. He feared failing God and the people. For months, his computer screen saver displayed; "Your desire to help others has got to be greater than your fear of failure." That's exactly what happened when he finally yielded to the Master's command. Bro. John surrendered his life to the Lord at age 19. His wife, Sister Cheryl, and he have been married for over 30 years and have raised seven children. To this very day, Bro. John cannot understand why God would ever want to use him in the ministry, but yet continues to serve the Lord and God's people in many capacities, with all of his heart. Often remembering, 1 Corinthians 15:58 that states; Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
