Sunday School is an extension of the pastoral ministry and five-fold ministry of Send the Light Church. It is biblically based, teaching principles from the KJV bible. Sister Kathleen Romberger and Sister Trisha Chinault teach the little ones and Jr. High. The children learn the gospel of salvation and the principles of the bible taught through stories and examples, crafts and games. The goal of Sunday School is to teach the children what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior. Also, to help the children learn about the ministry of Jesus Christ, memorize scripture, and learn to put Christ first in all they think, do and say. It is our goal to have them hide the Word in their hearts and learn that we are a body of believers in every sense of the word, from the youngest to the oldest.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou rises up. (speaking of God’s commandments, statutes, and judgments).
Sunday School is also a preparation time for the children to learn the basics principles of church order, worship, tithing, prayer, and ministry work.
